With a 16-12 victory over Renegades on Mirage, Immortals are through to the grand final at the iBUYPOWER Masters and have secured a spot at IEM Oakland. The match began with Immortals getting out to a quick 3-0 lead after pushing the B site in the pistol round. After getting their economy stabilised, Renegades picked up the first gun round, but they were unable to follow it up, which left them strapped for cash. The game continued to follow that pattern almost until the end of the half as Renegades were unable to build on the few rounds wins that they had. It was only when the Australians were down 3-9 that they finally managed to hold back the Brazilians, winning three rounds straight to cut the deficit to three rounds at the end of the half.
Renegades came out from the break with renewed vigour, winning six of the first seven rounds to take the lead in the game for the first time. But then Immortals tightened their defense and won six rounds straight, with Lucas "steel" Lopes shutting down the Australians with an impressive quad kill in the final round as his team secured the top spot in Group B. iBUYPOWER Masters 2016Best of 1
